EFPU history, briefly

The Estación de Fotobiología Playa Unión (Playa Unión Photobiology Station, EFPU) was created in november 1996 with the support and interest of the neighbours to start and encourage scientific research, and to share with the community several aspects related to the effects of solar radiation on organisms. Since then, there are fluid and rich research interchanges between the EFPU and other international scientific institutions which study this subject.

One of the main objectives of EFPU is to perform research on Photobiology. In this subject, we are working on and organizing projects y and cooperation activities with several national and international institutions. In addition, the EFPU has an interpretation center, open to general public, for divulgate knowledge and share activities.
