Estación de Fotobiología Playa Unión
The Playa Unión Foundation is a non-profit organisation, created in January 1997, to support the activities performed by the Estación de Fotobiología Playa Unión, and divulgate cultural, scientific and educational aspects of the region.
- Promote and encourage activites related to the Estación de Fotobiología de Playa Unión, by means of financial aid to scientific, cultural and educative projects, and also communicate these activities and the results.
- Give administrative assistance to the Estación de Fotobiología de Playa Unión Director.
- Contribute to the maintainance of equiprments and laboratories.
- Contribute to the maintainance of library, study rooms and other elements needed for scientific, cultural and educative research.
- Contribute to the consolidate the definitive instalations of the Estación de Fotobiología Playa Unión.
- Facilitate scientific, cultural and educative scholarships to develop specific subjects studied in the Estación de Fotobiología..
- Promote periodically the capacitation of technicians and specialized personal.
- Colaborate with the Direction of the EFPU, in the organization of scientific, cultural and educatives meeting, at regional, national and international level.
- Promote and divulgate the activities of the EFPU into the educative community of the region.
- Contribute, with the new building of EFPU, to increase and widen the touristic offer and attractiveness of the region.
- Contribute, in the future, to expand the activities to other areas of human knowledge.
- Promote and develope scientific, cultural and educative activities at regional, national and international level.
Parcial grant (March to December 1998) to study (L. Rafael) in Centro de Estudios Trelew (C.E.T) .
The FPU also has small scholarships to cover minor costs of all students and researchers in EFPU.
